During your first appointment, which should last about an hour, we may take digital X-rays and/or a digital Panorex to update your records. We’ll review your health history, primary concerns, and long-term goals. Dr. Gunnin will then thoroughly examine your teeth for signs of decay and your soft tissues for gum disease and oral cancer. In the absence of gum disease, and if time allows, our hygienist will gently clean and polish your teeth. She can also help you with tips to improve your daily oral homecare routine.
With digital X-rays and chairside monitors in each treatment room, Dr. Gunnin will show you pictures and explain his findings, as well as his recommendations for treatment.
